FAQs
-
AI Language Club is a community of language learners, tutors and teachers exploring fresh ways to boost their language (or language teaching) skills.
When you join, you get instant access to the entire library of 250+ prompts, 50+ walkthroughs, our community and practice sessions as well as new content and exercises every week.
-
You betcha! Our trainings explain how to get AI to provide materials for your level without the jargon.
-
No. While the Club could replace all other strategies, we see it as a way to infuse more fun and variety into the way you’re currently learning (whether that’s through a tutor or on your own).
-
Absolutely!
It’s the perfect way to infuse your lessons with more fun.
It also allows you to maximise student learning by allowing them to pursue their own interests, with support from AI.
Many Club members are tutors who want to save time planning their lessons and have a competitive edge. You can also use our portal to network with other tutors and exchange tips of the ‘trade.’
-
Training AI models is highly energy-intensive, but using them is a lot less energy-intensive.
We also show you how to use AI effectively so you're not "wasting" energy by sending too many prompts or having to fine-tune them constantly with follow-up questions.
-
No, that’s the beauty of AI. Most AI tools have an app so you can get in a quick practice session during school pick up, on your commute to work, or while walking the dog.
-
AI works with just about any language. It does work better with larger languages, but...we have Club members using AI to learn languages as diverse as Welsh, Japanese, and Norwegian, and they’re pretty pleased with the results.
Each tool is different, and some will work better than others for certain languages.
The good news: AI tools are constantly improving their language models, too.
We'll be exploring lots of different AI tools in the Club, and look forward to hearing how well they work with your languages. 😁
-
You can use AI to learn just about ANY language. All the tutorials and materials in the AI Language Club are in English, but we include examples from tons of different languages (18 and counting!). All videos are also captioned to promote accessibility.
-
Yes, our private Facebook group is the place to meet other members, see what they're doing, exchange notes, share your progress, and ask questions.
-
Using artificial intelligence is as simple as typing a question into a search bar.
Our resident tech geek (that’s Josh! 😉) has decades of experience breaking any idea into simple, easy steps.
Every weekly tutorial video will walk you through exactly how to use AI tools – in seconds, without the jargon.
-
Of course not! AI can never dream, think, or talk exactly like you, but it will take on all the boring, repetitive, or work-intensive tasks and help you create fun materials for language learning.
-
Most of the tools we cover in the Club are free or offer free tiers or trials.
-
AI Language Club offers a fresh way to learn any language – with a weekly tip delivered straight to your inbox and a treasure trove of innovative ideas to boost your learning without the boring materials and repetitive exercises that take the fun out of language learning.

We cover all levels in AI Language Club, from basic techniques (like learning the alphabet and simple vocabulary) to more advanced approaches (extracting terms from texts, learning collocations, summarizing long documents, etc.) that are ideal for advanced language learners or language professionals.
You can use our searchable database to filter tips and find ones for your level.
Please note that we’ll be focusing on language learning in the Club. If you’re interested in using AI for translation or interpreting, Josh’s Automatic Glossaries with Artificial Intelligence course or insiders program (which includes an entire track on AI and speech recognition) might be a better match.
-
If you purchase an annual membership, you may request a pro-rated refund for $90 (all but the first month) any time during the first 7 days after purchasing. No refunds are available for monthly memberships. Of course, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
